Dr. Jacek Polubiec is an educational leader who has spent twenty years teaching and supervising urban schools. He holds Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from City College of New York, MA from Queens College, MS from the Principals Institute at Bank Street College, and Ed.D. in Urban School Leadership from Fordham University. His primary interests revolve around teacher leadership, motivation and educational innovation. Dr. Polubiec is a Google certified educator, whose innovational journey began with attending BLC09. Driven by his intrinsic need to learn and inspired by the success of the Finnish school system, Dr. Polubiec traveled to Helsinki and Lapland region to see what urban school educators can learn to address the issues of low achievement, equity and teacher attrition often affecting American schools.
