Using iPads for math should mean much more than drill and practice. We'll talk about best practices in math instruction and explore math-creation apps that support these best practices. We’ll investigate ways to allow your students to solve problems, to explain their solutions and to let you see their math thinking. We’ll also talk about ways you can amplify this learning by sharing it with parents and others beyond your classroom.
Bring along an iPad to join the fun! A list of free apps to be used in this session will be emailed to participants for download the week before the conference. You’ll leave with:

  • An understanding of how to effectively use iPads in mathematics instruction
  • A list of appropriate apps and student examples of their use
  • Hands-on experience creating math with an iPad
  • The understanding of how to take your math learning global
