Dunbar - Mirror Classrooms: Reflections on Global Collaborative Learning

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

When students look in their ""mirror monitor,"" they don't see themselves: They see students in Sweden studying exactly the same things, from ""Number the Stars"" to the Raoul Wallenberg Cube Project. Two teachers - one in the United States, and one in Sweden - collaborated on a new project called ""Mirror Classroom"" that allows students to teach each other half a world away. How better to learn about the UN Sustainable Development Global Goals and Basic Human Rights than in a global classroom?

“...and I want you all to remember- that you must not dream yourselves back to the times before the war, but the dream for you all, young and old, must be to create an ideal of human decency, and not a narrow-minded and prejudiced one.”
― Lois Lowry, Number the Stars
