What do you do when there is not enough time or resources for every teacher to receive one-on-one coaching? Hear how we implemented a peer coaching program with our teachers to support deeper levels of blended learning and PBL in a middle school with over 75 teachers and 1175 students. Participants will learn how to provide collaborative professional development opportunities to staff related to blended learning and PBL. They will learn strategies for determining/developing strong peer coaches in their building or district. In addition, participants will learn practical tips for organizing coaching sessions and accountability for implementation. This session will also showcase student examples of how learning has changed in the classrooms as a result of this peer coaching format. Participants will also walk away with several resources to support teachers in a blended learning or PBL classroom.
Areas that intrigue me: curriculum, how students learn, student ownership of learning, PBL, blended learning, research skills, school culture, tools like technology to support learning.
