The session will focus on sharing a model I used to integrate social justice issues into the English curriculum.  Students were taught the "vocabulary" of social justice and then wrote published open letters based on a local or national question of social justice.  Students tweeted at elected officials and other experts as they researched their projects and ultimately sent their work to their selected audience.
