In this workshop, Phil will share a range of simple strategies to meet the challenge of engaging students more deeply in their learning. With a focus on teacher clarity, participants will engage in a demonstration lesson designed to model collaborative thinking and processing strategies, supporting learners in finding and applying their voice in order to activate students as learning resources for each other. It will show how, by changing relationships in the classroom and equipping students to go beyond their best, teachers around the world are supporting students in making the transition from surface to deep and enduring understanding.
