This hands-on workshop will introduce participants to high-impact equitable strategies employed by schools to integrate disciplinary and academic literacy alongside collaborative approaches to learning in order to break habits of low engagement, compliance and passivity, and student invisibility. The workshop will demonstrate how research-based, student-centered collaborative strategies are being used to develop deeper connections with learning, as students are equipped to make use of high-value academic and contextual language to articulate their thinking and find their voice.
