Joyce Edwards, Ed.D.

Dr. Joyce Edwards is the Assistant Superintendent for Teaching and Learning in Franklin, MA. She has nineteen years of experience in K-12 public education, beginning as an elementary teacher and moving into administration at both the elementary and secondary levels as well as at the building and district levels. Joyce has been attending BLC for more than a dozen years. She has promoted attendance at this conference for teachers and administrators in her district to foster the beliefs necessary for using instructional technology as a vehicle for student learning. She worked with administrators and teachers to establish a Digital Learning Committee (DLC) for the Franklin Public Schools in 2014, and this committee continues to guide the vision and work of the district in this area. She holds an undergraduate degree in Management from Simmons College, a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education from Lesley University, a CAGS in Educational Leadership from Bridgewater State University, and a Doctorate in Education from Northeastern University.
