Do you feel like you do all the work and your students are just “playing school”? If students don’t “own” their learning, then they will never see the intrinsic value of the process. Come to this session to see how student-led decision making has personalized learning in my classroom. In this session, participants will discuss various ways to more deeply involve students in their own learning processes. By letting students make decisions about various elements in the classroom, assignments become more real, more practical and more “theirs.” These strategies apply to everything from daily note-taking to long-term projects, in any classroom, at any grade or academic level.
