After teaching high school English in Gaston County Schools for 10 years, I moved into the Facilitator role where I enjoy planning, collaborating and encouraging other high school English teachers. Currently, I work to support district and school professional development, the TIPS program for beginning teachers, PLCs and other collaboration efforts, and an aligned English curriculum through sharing resources relevant to classroom teachers. My favorite part of my current role is when I am given the opportunity to cross-pollinate ideas and connect teachers to one another across the district. I love meeting new people and am excited to connect with some new colleagues at this year's #TLC22!
