JoAnn Jacobs is a sixth grade social studies teacher at Mid-Pacific in Honolulu, Hawaii. She is a member of Mid-Pacific’s Kupu Hou Academy leadership team assisting teachers in implementing project based and inquiry based learning in their classrooms. JoAnn is also a National Geographic Educator and a @TeachSDGs Ambassador. For the last four years she has engaged her students in the need of finding solutions to global issues by introducing and using the TheGlobalGoals and TeachSDGs not only as a means of giving them a voice in their world but the ability to make it better.
Dr. Marialice B.F.X. Curran is the founder of the Digital Citizenship Institute which hosts the DigCitSummit (Digital Citizenship Summit) around the world. She is committed to promoting social good through the use of social media and technology and amplifies the positive and practical applications of learning in the digital age. She partners with districts, schools, universities, parents and organizations to provide a community approach to digital citizenship.
