John Marallo

John Marallo, Technology Integration Specialist: Marlboro Central School District, Marlboro, NY. Mr. Marallo taught secondary mathematics for twelve years, and is currently working as a Technology Integration Specialist. His Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Mathematics Education is from The State University of New York at New Paltz. His Master’s degree, also from SUNY New Paltz is in Adolescent Mathematics Education, and he is certified to teach mathematics in grades 5-12. Mr. Marallo also earned a Certificate of Advanced Study in School Leadership from SUNY New Paltz. He is certified in New York State as a School Building Leader and a School District Leader, and served as the Mathematics Department Chair for grades six through eight in the Marlboro Central School District for seven years. Mr. Marallo is also an adjunct instructor of Teacher Education at Marist College in Poughkeepsie, NY. He teaches pre-service teachers Methods of Teaching Mathematics in Secondary Schools at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. He also teaches professional development seminars in Common Core Mathematics K-12 for New York State United Teachers. Additionally, he teaches graduate-level courses for New York State United Teachers through The College of Saint Rose and Empire State college in the areas of teaching mathematics 3-8, foundations of middle-level education, and developing innovators and innovation skills. Mr. Marallo has also traveled to school districts throughout the country, sharing his experiences with the implementation of the Common Core Mathematics standards, and helping to assist others with lesson development and analyzing data to drive instruction.
